Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort has welcomed guests near Saariselkä since 1974. It has small and large glass igloos with their own shower and sauna, and Kelo-glass igloos for up to six with a fireplace, kitchenette and a glass-roofed bedroom. Husky and reindeer safaris and Santa’s Home are in the West Village; the airport transfer from Ivalo takes about 40 minutes. The resort says its glass igloos are available through the northern lights season, from about late August to the end of April.
