About Kalasatama: the back story
Kalasatama, the former fishing harbour on the eastern shore, is now a district of towers around the REDI centre and its metro station. From here Kruunuvuorensilta, Finland’s longest bridge, crosses to Kruunuvuorenranta, with trams from 7 November 2026; Korkeasaari Zoo is across the water.
The towers
REDI sits at Kalasatama metro station, with the residential towers above.
The bridge
Kruunuvuorensilta carries trams, walkers and cyclists, but no cars (hel.fi).
Walk the bridge on a clear day.
Our advice: cross the bridge on foot and come back by tram.
